Dr.JENIL NILESH SHETH
Neuro-Ophthalmology for Monday Morning OPD
Neuro-ophthalmic complaints are frequently encountered in routine OPD practice, yet early red-flag recognition can be sight- and life-saving. Neuro-Ophthalmology for Monday Morning OPD is a practical, case-based instructional course designed for busy clinicians. The session focuses on high-yield clinical decision pathways: differentiating papilledema, optic neuritis, and pseudopapilledema in a swollen disc; evaluating sudden vision loss with a normal fundus; localizing diplopia using five targeted questions; recognizing essential visual field patterns; and identifying critical neuro red flags in patients with ptosis, pupillary abnormalities, and pain. Emphasis will be on structured examination, lesion localization, and management strategies that can be immediately applied in everyday clinical practice. Very useful for residents, budding Ophthalmologists and busy senior practising Ophthalmologists
