Cataract Grand Rounds : Real Scenarios, Real Decisions
Cataract surgery today extends far beyond routine phacoemulsification, demanding nuanced clinical judgment, effective complication management, and sound practice strategies. This 50-minute case-based Grand Rounds session is designed to simulate real-world decision-making through four focused panel discussions covering preoperative dilemmas, intraoperative challenges, postoperative surprises, and practice management realities.
Each round will begin with a concise case scenario or surgical video, followed by structured panel deliberation exploring evidence-based approaches, alternative strategies, and practical pearls. Topics will include premium IOL selection in complex eyes, managing intraoperative surprises, handling refractive dissatisfaction, and navigating difficult situations in day to day practice. The session emphasizes interactive learning, critical thinking, and audience engagement rather than didactic lectures to bridge surgical excellence with real-world wisdom in practice.
