Scleral Buckle for Retinal Detachemnt - Still the Gold Standard
Scleral Buckle(SB) for Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment(RRD) has stood the test of time as a simple, efficacious and minimally intrusive surgical procedure. This course aims at laying down the basics for a successful Scleral Buckling procedure. Five Retinal surgeons, highly experienced and accomplished in Vitreo Retina practice, will deal with the anatomy, the indications, the steps, the complications of SB for RRD. The course will also look at alternative surgical approaches to RD in certain cases where SB is also indicated. At the end of the course the audience will have a lucid understanding of which cases to choose for Scleral Buckle, the steps of the procedure and how to identify and approach its complications and choose alternative procedures if indicated, for RRD.
